Those who travel with me might be inclined to disagree with that statement .

Some time ago, I shot a tv commercial at Barrenjoey, for Fishing Australia Mag. On the beach (in our crew) was my Disco, a Feroza, a Patrol and a Pajero. The Feroza, owned by my assist, hauled out a very bogged Pajero. Some may put this down to driver error, but it was following the tracks of the Disco and ceased to go forward.......

Pajeros in my book are in the same class as Jackeroo, not really a real 4wd, a proper 4wd should have leaf springs, that should set the cat amongst the pidgeons, oh and steel dash boards too!

I've owned a Tdi Pajero and some close friends had a V6, highly underated little trucks and very good on sand - and this is coming from me, a mad Landy nut. Would own another one (just for when the Rangie breaks down ) even if Pajero does mean wa#*er in Spanish ).

Actually, I'll probably end up buying a Series I for my second car - you know how it goes...

I had a 1985 LWB Pajero and it was a bloody brilliant little four wheeler. The auto free wheeling hubs were a gift from God. You must remember, it's not always the vehicle that should be blamed for it's off-roadability (good driver in a bad vehicle can perform miracles and vise versa).
