so long as the body work is straight, the syncros are all good in a quiet geabox and tcase, if it passes roadworthy 6k for a TDI isnt too bad but youd want good rubber and some of the luxury options, not a pov pack. rust in the rear floor pan pillars and roof might be coming into being a problem. The overall condition of the running gear would want to be reasonable as well but a little slop and some scrapes would be expected.

if it is 92 it could be a 3 door 200 TDI, in that case it would need to be good and rust free for 6K, as you can get a 5 door for not much more than that, with 95/6 revised dash not much more, if it is a 3 door, check for rust under the rear floor mat and around the alpine light windows
