Thread: Do YOU run 31x10.5r15 on a RRC any cutting?

I have 7.50R16 tyres on my standard height 4 door Range Rover. These measure at around 31.5" but are narrower than 31x10.5x15s.

The only contact points I've had are the front edges of the rear guards (massaged slightly), the front radius arms & a very occasional touch on the front lower edge of the front guards (usually N/S).

It might be an option for you.

They are sold as 31's but are a bit bigger so they did rub the r/arms too but I adjusted the stops.

Yes it is stock height after I fitted the 31'S the RRC height rose exactly 2" which is good from a legal standpoint in WA.

Yes they are on 15" rims but that will not make any difference as a 31" tyre is a31" tyre on a 15" rim or 16" rim. Just more options I believe for manufacturers on 15" rims.

*** I have had to trim the around the arches the bits that where bent and re-fit the flares. I had to take quite a lot of the front arches.

Thanks for that!! Just so I understand correctly, did you have to file down the arches or grind them back a bit & then fit flares?

Grind back and fit flares.

The front ones got quite badly bent so a lot of cutting was involved, the rear was more of a trim back. I didn't trim the whole arch though. Just the bits that got bent/rubbed. The bit I cut where about 6-8inches up from the base of each end of the wheel arch and about 4 inches in, like a sort of triangle shape.

they are identical to the ones I got, different brand but look the same.

I've got 31s (Cooper STTs) on my 2 door Rangie. No lift. Everything is fine until i flex it up or corner too hard . Then the tyres rub on the inside of the wheel arch (that is, they tuck under but hit at the top). If you mean they rub in front of the tyre (directly fowards) then mine don't (but its very close - maybe 15mm).

Wouldn't a 2" lift solve the problem (and the Rangie could stay in one piece)?
