    fuel filter

Hi, today just had the rear fuel filter replaced on my td5 and tonight was doing some work on it and noticed it still leaking diesel out of the bloody thing, in the morning i will go back to the mechanic and say WHAT THE? but i was wondering if anyone had any clues regarding this.

I hope he hasn't cracked the water sensor. They're as weak as p... & can crack when removing.

Because there's been so many cracked sensors, I'm sure the later cars did away with it & used a plastic plug/bung instead.

If they're experienced with Land Rovers, they'll know what to do (I hope ).

so long as you keep changing it regularly no there wont be, its there as the water sensor to let you know when you need to change it.

The water sensor is there so you know when to drain the water out, rather than when to change the filter.
