Dash probs sounds like a dodgy earth lead to the dash or even battery terminal.

The no crank could be the same but the pos side.

If you are running lead terminals they can sometimes corrode in side the crimp and do that or at the other end where it bolts on.

Cant see the vid but im sure it's entertaining.

A little while back I had a bit of a wiring melt down where the main cable between my alternator and starter motor (which then goes to the battery) melted and welded itself against the right hand exhaust manifold causing it to glow red and melt off all the insulation (happened at night on the road).

What I'm thinking is that the huge amount of current that was drained that day has affected the main cable between the battery and starter and made it brittle and cracked.

I definitely know it's that cable because if I move it around the power will cut in and out.
