The Haynes manual has a pretty good section on routine servicing, has photos etc.
Obviously the Dealer Principle of the LR Dealership has a large "BayLiner" or simular boat to support as well as several X partners.
$1,000 is unbelievable for a service even in Karratha.

You could try Ayers Rock in Brookvale. I've not used them but there are a couple of good reports on here. I'm thinking of going there for my next service (180k). Called round there last week with a small electrical problem, they were very helpful and didn't charge me a cent to have a good look at it, and fix it. Only took about 15 mins luckily, but I'd ahve been hunting it for bloody ages.

Thanks Ron,
Very helpful and useful link to the Servicing Schedules. The more I think about it the more I am tempted into the world of DIY servicing.

Hi Andy,
Tried Ayers Rock and they have quoted me around the $1000 mark also...It frightens me to think how much they must be making off a service of this type....
I think I'm going to remove my recommendation of Ayers. For the time being. Just had a major service done there and am not overly impressed, especially with what they charged.
I'm not going to say too much more on the public forum. But I doubt I'll be going back there.![]()

Buy a Haynes manual and do what you can do yourself it's not rocket science just messy. DIY is the best way and in the bush what you learnt at home might save you a lot of money in recovery bills. Also good escape from screaming wife and baby can take hours to find that filter at the shop.![]()
