yes 330-4am loading a series roof on to a trailer was a new experience for me! did you make it to lithgow in time after the 5am departure?
Steve and I took a small trip over the weekend. And we survived.
We set of Friday night about 10pm for our little jaunt to Lithgow. On the way we had to make a short detour to Newcastle to pick up a roof. Just out of Sydney on the Freeway the truck started shuddering under load but would settle down when cruising. Not wanting to be stuck on the side of the road we nursed it to the big Servo between Sydney and Newcastle where we filled up and check tyres and things. Nothing look od so we pushed on.
3am saw us at Cals place with the Fender sounding like it was only running on 4 cylinders or had one real lumpy cam. After sitting for a while at Cals it fired up and idled happily. Again in the dark we couldn't find anything odd. so with a load of parts in the trailer we left for Lithgow.
More to follow.

cool, so not to bad on time then with the trailer? just over 4 hours,,,
What a pair of busy little bees! Your 130 is a fair machine Edd, well set up.
Chears Andy.
Performance issues in the engine was the injector harness. It was down to 3 or 4 Cylinders by the end of Saturday. Lots of Black smoke on take off and drinking like a patrol. We removed the harness Saturday night and cleaned it. Let it dry for 30 mins and refitted. Rig fired up and idled for a few mins like normal and then went back to the lumpy sound from before. After shutting it down we cleaned the connector again and since then it's been perfect.
I also bent the passenger side step and sill on Saturday when not listening to cons warnings to keep right on a rock ledge. There was a monster ledge later in the day that claimed Defenderzook. I got stuck on it and wasn't prepared to push the rig with it not running right. Half way through the winch recovery I also noticed that the hand brake was still on from before my attempt to climb it.
Sunday saw me break the repair done previously to the cooling bottle and coolant spilling out in the engine bay. With the rig halfway up another step I decided that was enough and time to call it quits. Carefully we drove it the last couple of meters to flatter ground and parked it for half an hour before refilling the coolant and slowly crawling back into Lithgow. So glad I fitted the black box warning System.
Once loaded up with 35litres of water incase things were bad and happy with the repair we got back to Ace's to pack up, Have lunch and a rest before heading home. All up in the last week I have covered 2,000km with another 400 Yesterday and Today.
