    A tale of woe

Talking to herself's bro and partner, over from WA. They were telling us about a friend of theirs who has a brand spankers D3. Seems he's a bit of a sanger short of a picnic ... it's a TDV6 and he gave it a nice big drink of ULP....

Apparently when he approached his insurers, the wee lassie to which he spoke used all her possible tact in explaining to him there's a fine line between an accident and stupidity ....

I guess some ppls don't deserve a landie.

Yowww - that's going to cost him some big biccies.

Wouldn't it be good if petrol fillers were round and diesel fillers square (or something).........

Evidently it's cheap to fix as long as you notice before you turn the key to II.

    If you turn the key

Funnily enough it's so common in Europe was one of the first bulletins for the D3 that LR put out.

My dear old mum did a similar thing to dads new valiant in 1980, filled it with diesel, it didnt like it ! though easier to fix I suspect to adding ULP to a Disco Diesel.

one of my builders lent his new Vouge Range Rover to his wife to drive
it needed fuel so she filled it up with ULP petrol

    $10-$15K Later all fixed
but she never got to fill it up again

I think I read somewhere that they are looking at putting some systems in place to check the fuel and stop them starting with ulp

    thats why

thats why the pumps are colour coded
thats why they have stickers on the inside of the fuel filler flap saying diesel only etc
thats why you never lend your car to the wife
thats why people with money never worry
