    Wonnangatta Station

    Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get to Wonnangatta Station from Melbourne?

It's been years since I've been there and can't really remember whether its a get there in one day or two day destination...

Also which route to get there the quickest?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

    Hi,

Door to door is difficult to tell as it depends on how fast you travel the tracks.

Personally, I think the quickest way in and out is via myrtleford. Takes me 1 - 1.5 hours from myrtleford to the valley then what, another 3 hours from myrtleford to melb?

    When are you going?

I will be there next thurs/friday.

Plan on 5-6 hours via Licola, assuming eastern subs start.

<4hrs from south of morwell to the homestead

But that's travelling solo, 'n a little quicker than most would prefer

Nonetheless, definately a 1 day affair, up through licola, howitt hoigh plains, Zeka, and your there, leave bright and early and at a sedate pace you'll make it with time to light the fire

Seems like access via Licola is not an option at the moment due to the floods...

Tamboritha Rd won't be open before Christmas. I don't know how you would go via Rumpffs Flat.
