Hi there
I am happy they are doing something - as there sales figures in Australia are not good.
All the best

I was shocked to leaf through a 4x4 Aust magazine at the supermarket and find a huge A3 sized pull out brochure advertising the new 2007 Defender!
When was the last time anyone recalls seeing a Defender advert? It's all been Disco/RR for the last 10 years I reckon.
Anyway - good on them for doing something at last. Hope it translates to new sales.

G'day Spudboy
Advertising Defenders
they must have made a mistake
OR somebody has at last woken up that the Australian public would like to buy these vehicles
next thing they might even rethink the 90
cheers
Yer i have seen the add.
The last one i saw was advertising for the 90 and it had the slogan 'We have just cut the price of the Defender by two an a half feet" and had a side on veiw of a yellow 90 next to a 110 and showed the size difference.
1998 Defender
2008 Madigan
2010 Cape York
2012 Beadell, Bombs and other Blasts
2014 Centreing the Simpson

Bout time LR spent some money on advertising the Defender.
One never knows--they might actually get some more sales for our beloved Defender.
I'm looking at buying a new Defender next year(just waiting on a new contract that coming up next year) otherwise I would have put my order in already.
Cheers

That's got to be good for the brand![]()
2005 Defender 110
there was that add in 04 with a silver rangie, silver disco, silver freeby, and a silver defender all from the front view cant remember the phrase on it though. Was in the 4x4 magazines.
Yes, heaps of adverts. Funnt because someone saw the adverts and went for a ride in mine and said the adverts made it look luxurious and plush and he wasn't so sure it was realistic advertising haha.
I just took delivery however and don't think the centre diff is working, uh oh..... I might be wrong but..... I doubt it. I must admit I even turned to the user handbook to make sure I was doing everything correctly, I was and kept trying and no luck. BUT, I chucked her in 1st low and traction control kicked in and she walked up the rocks I pointed it at.
I find it odd that LRA are advertising given the apparent lack of incoming stock. My last conversation with a dealer was that all the vehicles they ordered were gone and they were having a bit of a panic meeting to work out what their next order would be.
I hope that this is an indication that they are getting more vehicles allocated to Aus from the UK and future purchasers won't be left waiting three+ months for delivery.
More new Defenders on the road = more familiarity with the model = more after sales support = more accessories development = more happy customers.
