Exhaust re-fit/fix what should it cost approx?

    Hi All

I have extractors to be fitted to my 81' RRC.
I have the extractors and the end/tailpipe section but am missing the Y piece from the extractors to the single tail pipe.

I need an exhaust place to fit the tail pipe, extractors and fab a Y piece to join the two. I want flanges welded onto the ends of the exctractors, Y piece and tailpipe so I can just unbolt it next time, none of this wedge it in and clamp it connections.

Anyhow I want to get it done next weekend but was wondering "ballpark" what I should be paying for this work?
I honestly don't have a clue and don't want to be ripped off with the:
"Erm Ooooo custom exhaust eh, that'll cost ya"

Hey mate. I was quoted to do the entire system, from where the 2 pipes joint into one, right before the y section, with a magnaflow muffler, all in 2.5". All up, $400 for the job. That was only one place I visited, so not sure if this is a good price or not yet. Anyways, its at least something you can compare to

They should be able to do most of the work if you measure it up yourself.

I would not pay any more than $300 unless they fit it as well

I want fitting too because I'm missing a bracket or two.

Too bad your not in Kelmscott otherwise I could have got Mettam's Mufflers to do it and it would only cost around $200.

I think I should go some where local for the sake of my ears and getting stopped by the law. I would hate to have to get a pit inspection.

How's that for a coincidence I have got their number from yellow pages.
I'm sure there are lots of exhaust places around I just didn't want to wander in and them say: "Hi, hand over your wallet please "

So you think what with fitting no more than $400?
    Too much?
    Not enough?

Everytime I have had my exhaust done its only cost me $250 so yours should not be more than $350 or they should be able to tell you
