not landy related... but help! xmas pressie needed...

    Hi Guys

Im on the lookout for a beetle... preferably pre 1970 in ideally a running condition and also in a state where restoration is its only next option.

Rach really badly wants one to run around in and restore... been as we have so much spare time on our hands...

so if you know anyone with one... or have one and want to get rid let me know what price and condition etc... and we'll talk! i want to get her this for xmas... ideally!

if its in WA.... then great... if not then i'll look at shipping or some other option...

AS per usual thanks in advance

LOL... nah im trying not to show her this post so she wont hate you even more until after christmas.. she wanted a white beetle (but she'll get what she's given!) so those black ones in the lawn arent going to be much good ... mind you i bet they are rust free I dont think she hated you ... mild dislike eh? hehe.... she had fun and she knows it!

bah! too late eh? the '60 or the '65 would of been great... i'd love her to have a proper oval window one... i think anything past the 70's and they kind of lost their charm.. a few on ebay... but mostly already restored.

    G'day 5teve

The last of the small oval rear windows were in 1957/8 year models, 6volt,36hp. 58 large window narrow blinkers and fuel guage I think 40hp, 65/6 brought in 12volt, wide blinkers, on an original beetle with original bonnet, the nimber of castleations on the badge is the year model IE 8 =58 think it changed with the Australian Production Vehicles, BTW. the Aust Vehicles were the only ones in the world (at that time) that had RUST problems, "A" piller base hidden by carpet(check throughly with Magnet) old used car valuer trick

The old Magnet in a hankerchief trick

    cheers
