Well I finally got a wave from a red fender today north of Grafton and I was waving at the same time so AT LAST.
In PNG it was an advantage to wave to all, especially people by the side of the road, automatically they wave back and then they forget to throw the stones at you that they were holding.
Here I do the 2 fingers wave palm facing forward ...Churchhills V for Victory.... if they don't wave then rotate hand 180 degrees and move hand also up higher.
Well it breaks the boredom on a long drive!![]()
I noticed a Series driver was doing the finger bit at me whilst I was doing the same at him a couple of days ago just south of Temora.

Funny thing "The wave".
When I owned a Citroen and Peugeot, all other drivers of same make, waved. Most other makes, NO!
Caravanning, all other Caravanners wave.
Land Rovers, I wave and hardly ever get one back.
The basic LR drivers must think "What's he want", other Discos's "WE have a live one", Range Rovers, "Who does this peasant think he is?" :-)
Now I shall await the usual flak and insults![]()
As Slim Dusty said "I ll give you a wave with a slightly different wrist action"
In the truck other trucks wave (usually)
On the bike other bikes wave (often)
In the Landy everyone ignores me (maybe they recognise me?)
I waved to Waynep this morning ......
Nada, nothing, zilch.
