At last! Glad to hear you eventually got your hands on it.

Fabulous bit of kit aren't they? The mid-range pull is SO much better than a TD5 and I love 6th a lot.

Hope you get a good run out of it.
    Cheers
    David

p.s. I still haven't heard back from my dealer about the front mud-flaps, so I am going to call past tomorrow and see what is happening.

I have hardly had a chance to use 6th gear at all. In any case, I note that the manual says to run it in for the first 800km revving no higher than 3000rpm, and no faster than 80km/hr. It then goes on to recommend that you adopt this as "regular driving practice"

I love 'em, a bit of class about the front end. Nice.
But I would point out in response to the comment about the left arm going numb from the air because of resting the hand on the gearstick!
This is widely regarded as bad for your gearbox because it can preload things.
I think you will even find it mentioned in the manual, I'm sure it's in mine.

I don't actually rest it there except at the lights in neutral and changing gears.

But I guess I should at least read the manual.

Ooops - I didn't read that in the manual, so I have been exceeding that.

It does 110 SOoooo easily and that is only about 2100 RPM in 6th.

Actually, I would like to get it on a hoist and check it out thoroughly myself. Pity things are so crazy, busy at the moment - I have hardly any time to just waste perving at it. I'll PM you Blknight when I can see a window and hopefully we can work something out.
