Well ain't moving a joy. The big move is on Thursday so have been spending the weekend doing "mini moves" with the D3 and trailer. I was getting all the stuff out of the shed ie camping gear, gardening tools and whatever else I could fit, including the 2 wall shelving unit, which are quite high. Of course I didn't calculate that I had to get them under a carport first before heading off up the driveway......Result:
Oh didnt SWMBO have a bloody good laugh and other names I won't mention here, if I hear the kids say Derrr head one more time...I tell ya. That aside had another successful reversing at local tip and even reversed the trailer up our new driveway....went a bit pear shaped up the top ie jack knife....but managed to get it all straightened up
. So if you need a good laugh or any excuse to have one at someone elses expense, go for your life

Been there and done that on a couple of occasions, with a tad more damage I'm ashamed to admit.

Good on ya Steve.
My old man always said you've have to be able to laugh at your own expense, wise words indeed.
We've all done it, but only some us admit it.![]()
Never mind, Steve.
Far worse if you had damaged the house
Cheers,
Nothing a hit with a hammer wont fix.
Yep, Mark, I too am a believer that if you can't laugh at yourself, who can. Luckily no damage to the house and 10 minutes banging away with a rubber mallet got at least one looking half right again ie the shelving. At least now I have ramps to get my ride on onto the trailer, before it was what ever piece of wood was lying around, a long run up, foot to the floor and fingers crossed........bit darwin awards kinda stuff......reckon that was how I got my hernia when the wood broke and ride on was half up and had to heave it all the way on
. Stupid is what stupid does sometimes

lol, yes I think thats a very easy thing to do, especially when your in a hurry to get the job done. My brother did something similar, except he was driving a mini truck past a van with its rear door up (both vehicles owned by the same company) at a highish speed and colected the vans rear door big time!Needless to say, he hoped out of the truck, and walked off never to return to the job

At least they were only cheap metal shelves. My mate did this trick with a brand new dining room table on his roofrack and lost 2 of the legs. His wife then threatened to break his.
