Politically incorrect to run all that electrical stuff in a world of green house gas emissions. (isn't Australia no 1 wrt to population size anyway??) Also you've got to think of all those petrol motors dragging the kids around to see the lights. Ban Christmas lights I say. (Also would help reduce the Chinese imports.)

The Shire is one of the worst offenders wrt overloading the grid. Bonnet bay roads are now closed. Keep them in the box - better still - send them in for recycling. Maybe you can adorn the landy with them, but never turn them on.

I hear you can get LED ones now. If you need to have lights that would be the way to go. Only a small percentage of the energy use of incandescent globes.

YAAAWN. So you live in a mudhut minus electricity, don't own a vehicle, are a vegan, wear natural fibre clothes bath in a stream hey?
Give me a break....what about the 50000000000000 lights and aircon on in town 24/7 every day.

I am concerned about the environment, and do what I can in a realistic, practical way, but spare us the PC, fun police stuff PLEASE
