They were really good when I had a hand fracture some years back from skiing.

Sure you're not after some backyard amputation?

You'll never need those mud rails again.

Just like Mrs Numpty suggests, If the hands are functional now leave them alone and if necessary have them fixed when they have problems.

Lots of things can go wrong and you may end up hands that are no better or even worse after a repair. With any broken bones you are likely to get pain in later life, with more surgery the risk of this pain with aging increases.

So unless you are a hand model, movie star or have poorly functioning hands leave them alone.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

If you have them re-done they will be a problem when you're older. Hands are a very specialist area of "plastic surgery" and very few really good practitioners.

As I said before YOU NEED TO HAVE A VERY LONG TALK TO A GOOD GP you will need a referral at the very least.

It's actually an orthopaedic surgeon you will need to see, this sort of thing is routine for them, tho' it is best to find a surgeon specialising in hands. It is not plastic surgery! You will, as Diana suggests, need to visit a GP for a referral first. This is NOT something to put off, it is much harder to repair, and you will get a poorer result by waiting and having more damage done in the meantime.

Please Note: I am only registered to practice on 99.99999% of life on this planet, the other 0.00001% is human!

had lots of smaller injuries in my 46 years, broken toes playing soccer, broken hand from fighting, semi rupture disc cause I was good at lifting heavy things, cracked tailbone, more cuts and scar than can be counted.
    So where is this leading
    Memories
When I wake up these days and one part of the body hurts as I start to move for the day it reminds me of what I did to cause that pain, some of the memories bring a smile to my dial and other I think "you dick head" but I will always carry my scars and aches as a badge of honour.
    cheers

    ps
forgot my smashed collar bone from taking on a car on my push bike when I was 11, they even tried to keep me in hospital for that one. Soon sorted that out though
