    Thanks Craig,
    I'll certainly check them out.

when you say the "roof rail" do you mean a gutter mount (or don't D2s have gutters). Maybe I should go & "spy on" a D2 to get a feel for your plan.

    Larry.
Certainly, the ARB bar has the "plugged" holes. Maybe I should contact them to see what they suggest. I think that the antenna would need to be lifted from this position to get suitable range.

Unfortunately, no pics as my camera is temporarily out of service.

I don't have the winch bar, but may have the mounting points. Are these the ones fitted with rubber plugs? If so, I also have them, but I believe they will place the UHF antenna too low to be effective. In that case, I either need an extension or buy a long UHF antenna.

What UHF antenna are you using, and do you have it mounted on the bumper?

You don't need gutters if there is no rain.

It sounds like LR heard about our drought as they were designing the D3

    Hi Again Jamo,
Sorry, just saw your subsequent post with the pic.

I now see that it is the location I suspected.

I would still appreciate any info on the antenna that you can offer.

PS: Bloody nice rig , I've got a long way to go.
