Smile TD5 Servicing in Orange NSW

I have just moved to Orange NSW from the NSW south coast. I was wondering how many AULROers there are in the Orange area?

Also, as the Disco is up for its 80K service, do any of you locals know of a service workshop in the area (Orange or Bathurst) that appreciates the peculiarities of the Land Rover product (in particular a TD5?) (Its a long drive to the nearest LR dealerships at Dubbo or Parramatta.)

    Thanks

Did you both move there for work? Do you two work in the same industry, or maybe for the same COMPANY???? How spooky would that be, to drive into work on Monday , your respective first days, and have a bingle going for the same parking spot!!!

CjC_td5 will have a severe case of Disco envy, and will have to do some serious overtime to match Slunnies D2 for mods and toys!!!

And yes, the AULRO world is actually quite small sometimes....In 2005 I pulled into the caravan park at Cloncurry, only to have leo109 (Ian Petersen, thermoguard instruments) come up on a quad bike to direct me to a site. He saw the signage on my RR and introduced himself! We had a few reds and a great dinner with Ian and Annette, and the Cat called Cloud.

    There goes the neighbourhood alright!

I'm moving there with work. I've picked up a promotion in a different school so am making the journey west from Sydney. Its actually not bad though as I already own land nearby and a lot of my family are from the region. A nice area.

I think CJC_td5 will really see a compulsive clown that never rationalised

It's surprising how many AULRO stickers you see isn't it. When I was at Hay Rover Batton Camp with Callum in July we also met up with some AULRO folk there. Actually, I thing you were there also Justin - on the sat phone when we started breaking a few things.
    Cheers

I would like a Tuff trip invite one day too. Any time we are venturing up that way I'll try and make contact...I've seen the pics on your webpage. Much fun had by all!!

....And for an 'amateur' photographer, your compositions are pretty impresive.

    Talking Welcome to Orange

Not in teaching, but civil engineering, moving west to take advantage of the skills shortage west of the "sandstone curtain". I have lived here before so have some idea of what winter is all about. My family owns land in the Wolgan Valley, north of Lithgow (most of you Sydney based 4WDers have probably been there at least once) so Orange was chosen as is well within striking distance for weekend trips but far enough away that the family cannot drop-in unannounced!!.

Sounds like I need to keep an eye out for a heavily modded D2 in my travels around town...
