Along the same lines, perhaps the power pack from an M1 Abrams could do the trick. It's a turbine with a transmission to send power to the drive sprockets. Wonder if they do an adaptor to the ZF?

Stap it to the roof and mount a Huge fuel tank under it on the tray and it would make a nice salt racer, drive it there on the standard Diesel engine and then pop it in Neutral and hit the button..........................
I dont know if you'd be driving it home though.
I'd be more thinking about some different rubber rather than ratios etc.![]()
