    G'day Sharman

And a belated welcome to AULRO as I said earlier in this thread it is all about ATTITUDE that sales person at Parramatta knew if you walked into the showroom that you had some type of interest, so he just went from there,he got the commission and the Pratt at Artarmon didn't

    cheers

Hi all, first post and its to comment about Land Rover Dealers...so not a good start really..

I am trying to convince the wife that the 07 Defender is a good deal (new and comfy..) so finally went down to the local dealer. They have the defender parked hard against a wall so you couldn't even get to the driver side door without probably taking the paint off. Wife couldn't figure out how to get in as they are rather tall...funny really. Anyway, it was hot so all the sales guys were inside. Wife + baby plus me go in and the sales guy just sits there. I walk up to him and try and talk to him. I keep getting one word responses and get fed up, ask for a brochure. He hands it to me and we leave.. I guess I didn't look like a customer

I will try to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was about 1 hr to closing time (hopefully why the defender was parked where it was..?), but it was not a good impression. Never ever experienced anything like it from a car dealer...

Bennett, in which city/suburb do you reside? (We can then guess at the dealer.....)

I've gotta become a salesman. I wonder what commission they get? I'm sure I could sell Landies.

Oh! Hang on. That would mean I have to wear (a) long pants and (b) a tie - maybe even shoes!
