    share market crash

couldn't see any other threads about this...

anyone got any shares left that is???

The market is down (all ords) 5% today alone and on the back of losses over the last 11 or 12 days is the worst since along long time ago!!!

my portfolio got smashed, down 22% since 2 weeks ago.

But i have been buying a lots bargains to hedge my un realised losses, might not be the bottom - but has to be close.

Nope, I don't dabble in shares. Market fluctuations like this make me glad to invest in real estate .

at that price, it would have been better to hang on to them.

This is partly a correction of the huge growth last year (over valuation?) and tremors from the US economy. the US will recover and so will the market (but maybe not with the enthusiasm we saw last year. hold tight.

The writing has been on the wall for well over 6 months. As far as being at close to the bottom - the bottom of this is 6 months away at least. There will be little rallies here and there but ultimately it will continue heading down down down. The US economy is in tatters and not just because of the mortgage crisis. The US war on anyone who is different/terror is bankrupting the country. The 'greatest civilisation' in the world is on the verge of collapse as everything about their lifestyle and economy is unsustainable.

I have been predicting this for nearly 2 years and unfortunately I have been right every step of the way.

great prices CBA $49, RIO $104, BHP $31

past experience indicates that it WILL bottom out

this maybe it or it could go another few%

in any case, a good time to do some BUY! BUY! (now wait for someone to make a joke about $ bye bye ) but not a good time to BORROW! BORROW! - in other words do it with your own money, not margins.

so you mean to say no one remembers the 1980's stock market crash, the share market is a speculative capitalism, no reason for Australian shares to tumble aas our economy is strong and our major trading with China still robust.

Shares will re-bound just a question of when and in the meantime why cry over lost share value look at all the share purchase bargains coming up

As Holmes A Court said in the 1980's share market bust, l haven't lost any money as l haven't sold any of my shares.
