Battery suppliers - Disco with 2 batteries??

Why do many battery manufacturers list on their websites that for 1989-1995 Discoveries (Diesel models only), two batteries are needed? AFAIK they always had one battery, my workshop manual says 1 as well. Mine has two because a dual battery system was fitted - but I don't know of any that were equipped with two from the factory.

(PS they also list two are required for Diesel RRC's. Maybe its a UK spec thing?)

I'm sure thats a typo as without the mod there isnt room for another batt- i got the SC MF80D26R which is about the biggest a 300TDI can get in the space.

Yes, the MF80D26R is what I hope to pick up. You've had no probs with it?
Its the largest that can fit a 200TDI as well, unless you have no aircon in which case a N70ZZ could fit as the pipes prevent anything over 280mm.

No probs at all and with a 2 year warranty i dont expect any, i had an SC batt in my old rangie, it was in it when i bought it ( age unknown) and after 5 years was still going strong when i sold the car. SC in Sunshine is where i got mine for $120 cash.
