I would be a bit suspicious of their claim to be able to cool to 35 below ambient temperature.
Even allowing for their claimed increase in efficiency because of the cooling system, that is more than most thermoelectric fridges claim.
Some of them make more realistic claims like "5 degrees on a 27 degree day", which is only 22 degrees below ambient temp.
So if it is as good as they claim, on a normal day in the NT in your vehicle, it will eventually get down to about 10 degrees. Or if it is only as good as most thermoelectric fridges, it will get down to about 20 degrees.
Or another way of looking at it is that if everything you put in the fridge is already cooled to about 5 degrees, in summer in most places in Aust, it will probably take a day or so to get above 10 degrees.
My impression is that they are OK for keeping things a bit cool, but not much good at cooling things down.

    Disclaimer.
This information is based on general reading I have done on the subject, not on personal experience.

Hopefully someone with direct experience of thermoelectric fridges will be able to be more definite about their capabilities.

my guess s that the fridge would draw 8amp continuous

say if you pulled up at 4pm and left at 8am that 16hrs which ='s 128amps....that one big 2nd battery you would need

We bought a "Camping" fridge from the big snake.
It is a 'Primus' 30 ltr, 3 way, 12/240V and gas.

    It works very well
    Cost?

3 Way good for camping for a long time on gas. Not much good at 12v on a hot day. Good on 240V.
As they draw 8amps DO NOT forget to take it out of the car and put it on gas every day. DO NOT go to a National Park and leave it on in the back of the car when you go for a long walk. I had one for about 10 years and my daughter now has it and still going strong.

Compressor fridge ( Engel)GREAT for touring. Works perfectly in car on 12v. Put the beer in before driving and it will pull down.
BUT if you put a hot dozen ( or a hot chicken) in after stopping will use a LOT of power overnight, say 2.5-3amps per hour.
NOT so good for long camping as second battery needed and /or gennie/solar. Mine goes 3 days. My Engel now about 7 years old and goes perfectly, but surface rust on box.

Peltier effect ( bi metal)not much good for anything on a hot day.
