The event has certainly had its fire re-ignited (does that qualify as a pun).

Im sure this discussion of events has certainly circulated nationwide to all 4WD clubs and associations.

Its a good, timely reminder that someone is always watching, and the actions of a few diminish the credibility of all.

    Pretty ordinary.
Camp invasion is getting endemic. Not right at all. Someone has paid for a campsite and while I acknowledge it is public land, people need their space. No common sense from that group. I wonder how they would have liked it if a heap of people lobbed up in their camp site unannounced. There should be camp fire facilities in the group camp though as well.

Just watched the video. Toyota owners, that explains everything.
Good way for someone to get hurt.
The shameful thing is they seem to be proud of their actions.

poverty is a nice camp area but the trailer and van area has no fire rings... but there are heaps on the foreshore day use area just in front of it so there is no real need to invade the tent areas rings...

been there a few times and never seen problems, much rather stay there than up the beach actually...

I just finished reading the whole saga...

It is sad the situation panned out as it did but kudos to clutch smoking steve for owning his part in it in such a public manner.

This exploroz should be standard reading

I hate to see this sort of thing go on and it's becoming a trend these days. You go away for a peaceful weekend and then have idiots do that to you and it was good you were able to stick it to 'em when you had your campfire going again. Theres no need for it IMO.

Typical TD's (Toyota dickheads), bunch of egostistical boofheads . Glad LR owners don't attract those sort of tossers and that's why I don't like mixed 4WD clubs, they tend to recruit morons like that. Not all mixed brand clubs are bad but good ones are far and few between.

People up Colundra way know which club to advoid now

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

A incident like this made so public could put a lot of pressure on the club politic. I imagine that will either improve it or spiral into self destruct

Yep, that club is finished IMHO. If not they deserve to be.
