I couldnt understand why you responded to my comments until I read back and saw your comment, that didnt worry me as obviously tongue in cheek. Its not meant to be offence to Trav, as other people hold the same view, but to be honest I get sick of the whole " I drive a LR and everyone else is a knob" just like it ticks me off when I read " I drive a Toyota/Nissan and LRs are unreliable, crap, POS, etc etc. Its a constant in this forum about other makes and a constant in other mixed forums about LR's generally eminatting from people with no clue or substance to what they are saying aside from their own opinion. Also I did say there are probably people who wouldnt want to camp with the likes of me, hence the point of my thread in the first place. So maybe you can see why in this instance, that I not so much got upset, but just ticked off.

I hang heaps on other members of our carclub who have other makes, 2 Toymotors and 3 Jeeps so far but 1 of the Jeep owners has a Disco as well so it evens it out

It's all ok to hang it on them in a joking type thing but if it is serious blah blah then I dont think it is nessesary.

Ive owned a bit of Jap stuff in the past and it's not all bad

I dont care what sort of 4x4 anyone drives if you act in a boorish manner then you must reap what you sew
The fact that these (rednecks) had the nerve to setup chairs around someone elses campsite and then act the way they did is unbeleivable
When these sort of things happen to first timers or old hats its not a memorable experience and can put you off one of the greatest pastimes we have
Absolutely disgusted and they should be disbanded as a club

It doesn't really matter whether the vehicles were Toyota, Land Rover, Hummer or Ferrari. These thugs, and thugs they were, behaved in a behaviour theme which Hollywood adopts for "bikie movies" etc.

    Am I kidding?

Think of the husband/father who had to come back to the campsite and "deal" with that - what would you do - take them all on?

I, for one, would like to meet the man and shake his hand. He is a Man.

As for the thugs, I cannot call them animals for such a term would be a compliment, I really could not care for their futures. May the Gods of Tragedy introduce themselves. For surely, each, caught alone without the "pack' will eventually receive their just "rewards".

    I hope so.

Gutless cowards. Nothing else needs to be said.

I think Clutch Smoking Steve redeemed himself some what. Though he may need to lead a reformation for absolution.

Sure, bad behaviour needs condemnation, but it is important to recognise good behaviour too.

Great learning experience, for those involved and us watching the train wreck it has become. May we all be better for it.

Forgive me Steve for I am obviously about to sin, but where oh where in the south east of Qld does anyone need a fire in what purports to be winter.

Yee Sinner, How Dare Thee , actually where I am in the GC hinterland it actually gets quite chilly, many a morning the D3 has shown only 2-3 degrees and at night will hit 0 or under. Plus I love the excuse anyway, nothing like a roaring fire ,

    Regards
