That sounds great for a T.A position, make sure it's not too good to be true before you jack in the current job. Best of luck mate

And as a bonus, you will get Sunscreen, A hat, New safety boots a Blue jacket, but it must be Australian made, Oh they don't make them in Australia anymore Mr Union official, Oh well then a NZ made one will do.

A 38 hr week, RDO, Cbus, Incolink income protection and of course the redunancy fund also . I think I've covered everything oh plus the the hourly rate, Oh and make sure on Sat you get double time

Im thinking of a new job to as work in the building trade is slowing down over here
Friggin Labour government and rising interest rates are scaring everyone off of buying new houses

Good onya, thats good money and if it's on Union sites you wont have to work too hard to get it

No wonder everything we build these days cost 3 million% more than what the materials to build it does

I'd be hanging onto that job with both hands, at least for the first 3 months, after that it doesnt matter, your there for life with 5% increases every year.

Ive got a mate whos a shop stewart(sp?)/OH&S and we really have some good discussions on the matter, he once got paid double time for 8 hrs for going in on a sunday to switch a light off but because he is a plumber, he had to get an electrician in to do it who also got double time and because it was more than 3 stories off the ground they needed a rigger/lift operator to take them up there also on double time and because it was a sunday, the minimum isn't 4 hrs it was 8 hrs pay so it took him 40mins to drive there, 30mins to get the other 2 blokes organised, 10 mins to do the paper work and switch the switch off and 40 mins to get home so for less than 2 hrs away from home his normal rate was (at the time) over $80per hr so he got around $1300 by my calculations but there were probably another couple of add ons and bonus's in there as well.

Im just glad Im not paying it.
