Stacey watches some stupid show on MTV about 16 year old girls really expensive birthday parties (she is a reality TV tragic), on a couple of the episodes the father bought the 16 year old girl an expensive 4wd. One episode had a H2 hummer with the works, a Range Rover Vogue on another episode and a top of the range BMX X5 on another episode.
Even if i had the cash I would never buy marcos a car like that, i worked for my first car and if it went wrong I had to fix it, as a result I appreciated the car more and unlike all the kids I went to school with who had a car bought for them by mum and dad I was the only one who had the same car at the end of year 12, everyone else either blew theirs up or wrote them off.

Hang on Ron,
We bought Defenders for both our kids although our daughter's first car was a Suzuki Sierra
They are still Land Rover converts.

would be nice to be born with a silver spoon in ones mouth.
Some people will never know what life is really like. I bet these kids never have to work a day in their lives either.

Best thing my parents every did was show me the value or working for something. Want a new bike? Work and save for it. Want a something? Work and save for it. They were (and still are) very generous but I know the hours of work that goes into everything I have.
Now I'm making my dream Land Rover.. starting with an old County and I've been adding and replacing bits for about 18 months - adding them as I can afford them. Its extremely rewarding.
Having someone rock up and give give you something (like a car) is nice but you will never learn the value of anything until you have work for it. I'm glad no one gave me a Range Rover when I was a kid.![]()

I openly offer that silverspoon to my kids on a regular basis and urge them to stick it in their mouths and bite down hard.
However, they are not be so eager to take it when they see be reach down the back of my pants, rub it between my ass cheeks and hand it to them with a big grin on my face just urging them to openup and say "ahhhhhhh!!!"
" EWWWWWW!!!!! no thanks, think I'll go get my own....."
They're learning!
