    Hmmm, nobody knows about the steps....does anyone know this one?
    The brochure for the new model shows that the vehicle may not be taken thru water that goes above the bumper.
    What is needed to improve that, just a snorkel and diff breathers or is it the placement of special electrics that prevents deeper crossings?

    I can't imagine the genuine LR steps being strong enough to use as rock sliders.

    I think you will find that the fording depth for all cars is somewhere about that height, unless suitable preparations / modifications are made.

    Without pulling out a brochure, the fording depth for a stock D3 is 600mm I think... or is it 700mm? Anyway, it's pretty impressive and more than the Defender IIRC.

    No doubt someone will correct me, but no time right now, gotta fly.
