Big fat tuna steak rubbed in fresh minced garlic & soy sauce, then two minutes either side on a hot plate...
With salad and a coldie or several. Ten minutes from prep to plate!
Salmon or Tuna sashimi.
Bit of soy, speck of Wasabi - mmmmm.... sashimi http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/1696/imagesns3.jpg
I'm with you, love sashimi....don't forget thinly sliced spring onions in the soy sauce! Just a couple.
Reminds me, I better post another household favourite sushi recipe in the recipe section.

all fish is good
this time of year is good for elephant shark down at westernport
I've been to a few sushi restaurants with Asian hosts when I was in Telstra. I never ate the food, though. The were always surprised by that. To them it was a great treat. To me it was a trial.
Best fish I've ever had was Red Emporer cooked in a webber with garlic, just fantastic. :BigThumb:
I've also had some great Mangrove Jack and Flathead. And if I'm fealing lazy, a bit of crumbed flake from the local fish and chipper usually hits the spot.:D
Probably the nicest fish I've had in the last few years would be freshly caught and bbq'd Yellowbelly/Golden Perch/Callop.
I'm talking Cooper/Diamantina system Yellowbelly, not impoundment fish. Delicious.
