I thought Alice Springs hospital was pretty good, I had a bad AF attack in Alice and had to go there to get it sorted.

Got a Doc from Melbourne who was pretty good.

And no, I dont plan on taking up bull riding at this late stage in life....

Well they didn't kill me, so I guess that means they are OK.

I just would rather not spend a week in a place like that where most of the regular attendees don't know what a shower even looks like, or how to use an "inside" voice...

It's amazing - the views on here rival the views that some folks have of our four wheel drives!

And yeah, I'm a country boy who likes his utes, rum and music. That's why the Defender sports a few stickers along them lines.

How about, each to their own. Guys like Lee Kernaghan and the fellas that do rodeos and own these utes etc do a hell of a lot of fund raising for a lot of people. Who cares about their past or what they drive - their hearts are normally in the right place and to me that's what matters.

    Cheers
    Chris

Someone mentioned flying ambos, I can remember when the Flying Doctors were running around in DH Herons and Doves, slow as anything, the DH Drover was even slower infact you could walk faster then a Drover could fly, and oncein a while the DC3 would drop in, I can remember after a visit to the Flying Docs out the airstrip we would get the biscuits from them, can still taste them!, a very worthwhile service who do some excellent work with very little money

You're probably about 15 years too late, most of them (B&Ss that is) are buggered now due to the media attention and exorbitant insurance costs.
I remember when I was a young bloke.....

At that point I believe it had a 351 with 4v valves in 2v heads running 10.5:1 compression and two buggered hot dogs exiting in front of the back wheels, would shoot flames 2ft out the exhausts coming down scenic hill into Lithgow as one of my passengers pointed out on a dark night.

    Regards,
    Tote
