I service mine at my Dad's place, he's good company, very cheap(free) and I get a beer or two when we finish!!
(he has a DiscoII, so we do both cars at once)
Just done his exhaust manifold gasket, the manifold was bowed or warped by 4mm!!!!! Cost us $60 to get it machined, all is good now! (so far - touch wood)

    Cheers,
    Fraser

I used to go to Technobritish at Moorooka. They were reasonable and friendly but I have read some mixed reports on this site from other people. They were also the closest to me.

I'm now tied to the dealer again since the new vehicle is under warranty. Even though I could still get the warranty servicing done elsewhere, no-one else seems to be able to do the required body inspections for the corrosion warranty. I got Technobritish to ask about this when I had my old vehicle last serviced and they were given the brush-off by Landrover who said it was a dealer-only service item. I would have to pay extra to get the car specially inspected and the service booklet section filled out if I didn't have it done in conjunction with a regular service .

Also dealer servicing under warranty gives you a bit more leverage to get stuff seen to.

    I use Graeme Cooper to.

I also trust them and have found they also know their Landies inside-out.

They sound expensive with a name like 'performance' .... do 300tdi's need specialists to create the best performance? Genuine question - I'm not being smart - our local guy reckoned I need my fuel pump looked at and being put on dyno for testing. I know more about blood tests than car tests......

Took the SIII to LVS at Silverdale recently.

They did a fantastic job & reasonably priced. They only do what you ask & give you a regular update. (Without having to chase them).

I have had leaking swivel houses in various degrees for the past 10 years (basically since I bought her), & still can't believe not a drop of leaking oil after taking her to LVS. I still look under her each day & shake my head in disbelief! Also did a fantastic job bleeding the brakes. Recommend them highly.

it depends, if you want to squeeze every last milliwatt of power out of it yes. general tuning no almost any numpty who know which end of a spanner, screwdriver and feeler gauge to hold onto can do the basics.
