Hi Johnny
Did it match your top hose size or did you need adapters?

It is a shame that the TD5 gets knocked so much as it is a fantastic power house for it's 2.5 litre capacity.
Like all small deisel engines it needs a pile of turbo boost to make it go properly. I would like to know what the comparison size of a conventional deisel is when the TD5 is on at 16 psi boost. I guesstamate about 5 litres?
I owned a 2.8TD Nissan GQ Patrol before it which I traded in on the Discovery II. It had a lot of knockers as well but it never let me down ever. The TD5 to date has always got me home or where I was going.
When a TD5 is running well with no problems it is a fun machine to drive. Any problems with boost, EGR or fuel delivery and you will know it in a big hurry but is that not what you want to know any way?
A TDV6 with a 6 speed auto would be nice though..Hmmmmm
