I know, just come down to Tassie and spend the whole trip here!!
Cold and rainy, just like england but with less people. Ideal Pommy holiday spot :P
And they are missing out the OTHER best part
Ditto about the north and centre. Do it first guys or you will find it VERY arduous. Unless of course you ENJOY 110% humidity and 30 to 40 deg celsius....and endless rain, mosquitos, crocs, impassable roads, bla bla bla bla.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

I actually love Tassie. Plan to retire there. It'll be the new gold coast when global warming kicks in
I hope they keep the schoolies up there though...

Nothing like the input of the local collaborators!![]()
Have a couple of fixed points early on during the invasion plan. First is the storming of the docks at Sydney followed by overseeing the challenge in the outback at Broken Hill. This is followed by R, R & R in Singapore whilst the 110 has a well earned rest in Adelaide.
So from early June to mid December when the 110 embarks back to good old Blighty from Sydney, the invasion schedule is wide open.
So what invasion plan would the local collabrators suggest from early June to December starting in Adelaide and ending in Sydney?

Brendan
Gee, 6 months-ish?
North through central Oz and NW to the Kimberley's, NE to Darwin by say Aug. SE to Cairns, the daintree and south as the temp goes up.
I read a few notes re air-con a bit earlier... Do you guys tend to use it or not?
When in Africa, we didnt have it - for the first few days it was hard getting used to the appressive heat, but then it became the norm and didnt cause us a problem - windows open time!! Those that did have it however, where constantly moaning (all the time) about the heat when they got out of there cool vehicles - they never seemed to aclimatise.
Makes me wonder whether its a good thing or not for use brits in hot climes??

Jon

OK I live in the far northern top-end. Climate control in the Disco can't be beaten, but I tend not to use the Air-con in my Defender. That said, there are times when it's so hot you just don't want the window down and the sun burning your arm on the window sill. There's also the issue of dust on outback tracks and that's another reason for having the window up and the Air-con on.
