I may be wrong but Im sure there is something out there that says they need to make spares for a discontuned car for a while after its gone ie u still can get parts for magna's but may need to be sorced from elsewhere......umm I will ask the question on Tuesday at our spare parts dept and see what they say........might even talk to the Mitchi salesman if he turns up..........

I was under the impression myself it was 5 years after the demise of type that parts must be maintained from the manufacturer

FFS what have I started ?

Despite all the "we should go euro" comments (we already have a Landy, that's got us covered in the Euro department) that's not really gonna happen as we can;t get a nicely specced car in the same price range.

Will probably test drive the VRX tomorrow (have only driven the base model so far) and check it out, with special attention to blind spots.

    Cheers

I drove a 560SEL a while ago, seamless surge of torque etc, and deceptively quick for such a big car.

These are underrated , but most woiuldn't want the fuel bill for town driving On the highway, about 12l/100km, which is very acceptable for a big car, that costs 20K less than some new Ford rubbish, and outlives, out drives and out everythings anything we can build in this country.

Justify it how you like JC, its still a japper

Bloody hell, you gotta rev 'em to make 'em go, That 1UZ-FE I've nearly finished wiring in the Jag, sure lacks torque

But doesn't it sound freaking AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWSSSSSSSOOOOOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEE

Sucks at idle but, EFI will do that

Yoiu mean a no resale value Lexota. A Toyota with a fancy nameplate and not recognised by the trade outside Toyota as a "luxury " car?

Haven't bothered reading all the posts above... but... just back from Cooma and had a 380 for the 3 days and must admit it was fun and had some real get up and go... enjoyed playing with the traction control on the dirt roads and lets just say when overtaking 10 cars up the highway it was well and truly able to get up nice and quick to pass... very very quick

Hmm - went test driving today.
She wants a bigger car than the Golf,
Jetta spec levels too low for the money.
    Passat too expensive.
    However.....

front runner now seems to be the Citroen C5 2.0l petrol version. (top of our budget we think).
Got leather and all sorts of nice doo-dads in it.
Mrs Vlad is ringing the lease mob tomorrow......

Interestingly the Citroen is the same money as the 380 VRX but a much nicer finished car!

The 380 has excellent warranty, so it will be covered longer than any other car, but i think i would go the XR6 or possibly even the modeo for something larger with better economy. Just test them all Vlad and by the one you like the most.

Watch those French cars. The French make better lovers than they make cars, even then it's all about them!

No one has mentioned the 10 year warranty on the 380. Mitsubishi will be around for a long time.

    Cheers
