Just out of interest, does or has anyone ever used the "spudnicks"?

...edit: Ahh, I see they don't all work so good.

What I dislike is the lack of consistency, where they were all variations on the same basic smiley.
    Like how works; but doesn't.

Also, the colours on some of the buttons have changed, eg. reply and quote, but not the thanks one.

Ewww, they're mutating in front of me.

Any minute now something is going to squirm out of my belly or come at me with a chainsaw.

Maybe too much curry for dinner.

    Cheers

The old ones were "friendly" - some of the new ones are just crass, especially this one:

As Pedro said so punningly, it is an emotive issue. When one uses them, it is to, preferably, do so with some friendliness and to not really pee off the recipient. We have no other easy way of texting feelings and good emoticons can be helpful - you can't see my smile in a text message, you can't hear the laughter in my voice.

Even the mad symbol (now ) was a good 'un, especially if used with the original
