Thread: tyre size's for series 3 LWB

well i got my rims today 15x8 sunraysias they came off a series 1 disco .puting them on my series 3 LWB.what i would like to know is what size tyre i can use i would like something like 32 x 11.5 or some 33..i have seen a SWB with 32x11.5 on 15 x7 rims but would they be okay to use on my rims..i would luv some ideas or opinions.i also read an artical in one of my old landrover internationals about a SWB running 900 tyres & i think they are something like 35 or 36 inch & as far as mods it didnt say anything was done to the suspension or rims but it did look good thow..

i also got all the wiring done from front to back rewired the whole thing that was fun NOT,in no hurry to do that again.got the top half of the dash on & gauges in aswell as me wooden steering wheel to the misses discust as i took it out of her car ,its only a crapy 4runner i told her she didnt so..i have been building this thing for over a year now & it sat for two or more before that, i put some fuel in the carby & me mower tin under the fuel pipe & bugger me it started old 179 & i havent done anything to it yet not even change the oil & it went that was a good pick me up after rewiring & all the time spent sofar. i will put some pics up in the next couple days ,it looks all finished now all the bodywork is done, but saddly it not..

Howdy mate , I have 32x11.5x15's on my 2a 109 on 15x7 rims . The tyre bloke told me they would be a better fit on an 8 inch rim as they have ballooned a little on mine . So you would get a lot better even wear on the tyre with the 8 inch rim .
