As a taxpayer it's my property too. Apart from it being inconsiderate to people who might actually need to use a sign for safety.
Just thinking of anybody who needs to call emergency services to an intersection or other reference point.

If I remember correctly "Mullulup" town sign was a bit of target in the Sth/Wst of W.A. as well. Not to mention "Droop St" in Footscray, Vic!

Well new to Victoria...i had maps and a GPS and still had a bit of trouble in a couple of area in the Buller/Stirling area...the signs are a good ref! not that i just rely on the maps and GPS on its own...would also just double check in any case i sign road name etc etc it was very tight in some area and not always easy having to double back with a camper trailer...was our first time in the area and had a ball! was a fantastic weeking and looking forward to our next trip...

PS: When I was a member of a wilderness search & rescue group, we once found a missing bushwalker in the Budawangs. She was travelling solo & wanted to sue the NPWS for not providing more detailed signage.

What a STUPID and uninformed response. If you had actually READ the start of this thread you would have noted that I was making the point that people relying on paper maps and in need of reference points could find navigation in the area difficult. What do you carry...... a SEXTANT?

Wedderburn has two signs that were stolen weekly before the brains trust of the Shire decided to mount them with two posts and one way fasteners

"Titwobble Lane" & "Teddy Bar Lane"

Allen, I hear on the bush telegraph that there are approx 500 new signs going into the Mansfield area of the Alpine NP....
