I would like to hear what Big Mac's political ideology is, I wonder if he will post it?

For what it's worth.
I'm glad I like in a democracy where Ron has the right to express His opinion freely, whether I agree or disagree with it.
Forget your petty squabbles about Rons political leanings and spare a thought for the countless Burmese people who can't even get aid because of a dictatorship.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Ron is a welcome and active member here and entitled to his opinion.
He expressed nothing, but his frustration for the current political establishment.
He used no offensive language, and attacked no-one here personally yet has since been attacked by the members of this forum for his beliefs.
NO government is going to please ALL the people.
And those that staunchly follow the same party regardless of its actions also need a good swift kick up the backside.
People, read, watch and understand what you are seeing...
The number of backflips of the current party in power are amazing.
This is not to say the old party didnt.. But this one has made quite a few in the past few months.
Most everyone here had a reasonable life during the reign of Jonny...
Lets hope it continues or gets better with the current party.
THIS FORUM IS JUST LIKE A TV....
IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT YOUR SEEING & HAVE NOTHING TO ADD TO THE TOPIC...
CHANGE THE CHANNEL....
But respect Rons right to his opinion, to share it, and to be respected.
I respect Ron's right (and everyone else's for that matter) to express his opinion, however, I think people need to exercise restraint when it comes to expressing an opinion where it is guaranteed to cause division and dis-harmony.
This is a LAND ROVER forum and we are all here to share in something that unites us. It sours the general mood when someone lobs a turd into the punchbowl.
And although it is a valid point that if we don't like what we read, then we can just not look... it's a bit like a car crash - hard to turn away. The responsibility lies firmly with the person starting the thread to decide whether they are posting a genuine, relevant question, something informative, fun and helpful, or just something that's bound to start an argument.
I agree - this should have gone in the rants section.
Aside from the heading of the thread, where did he rant?
He quoted and posted a link, pointing out that the taxpayer is to fund a program introduced by the current government...
And this is Campfire Chat...
The rants have come from the replies, not from Rons post.
Amazingly how un-objective we become when politics are mentioned.
- Promise of Computers for all children - FAILED
- Promise of ALL troops recalled - NOPE, only half now.
Regardless of who, its still a failure
I thought Krudd may be ok, but is just another blatant liar and cheat.
Like the luxury car tax, $57k, you will be lucky to get a half decent 4x4 for that..
Worst choice Aust has made I fear.

The current Govt has only been in power for 6 months so to expect them to implement all of their policies, especially prior to their first budget is a big ask.
Best if their performance is assessed when their term is up for re election.
There was nothing personal posted about Ron, just some reactions to his views, which is how a healthy democracy works.
Why does everyone get so precious when there is criticism ???
