    Car Sales

    G'day Graeme,

Jump on Carsales.com mate, there is a Rangie on there for 2,900. It looks pretty good although I don't think it is registered. If I was looking for one I'd have a good look at it mate, on face value it appears to be the goods.

I'm no good at putting web sites on here but if is not hard to find .....

LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER - Private Used LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER Cars - carsales.com.au

There, I cut and pasted it, not sure if it will work, no idea what I'm doing on a computer .... Just realised there is another one there for 3,500 .

    Gday guys
I have been keeping a religious eye on ebay. Most of the good ones seem to be in QLD.
As for the blue rangie on carsales, it sold tonight! I was heading out there cash in hand tomorrow.

    Cheers

for $3500 you should get quite a reasonable 80's RRC.
Dont buy a fix-a-upper. RRC are quite cheap and you get a a lot for your $$$
pay a mechanic, (one who knows landys) to check it out for you, you will save $$$ in the long run.

    Gidday,

I have an 87 Rangie that I am thinking of selling for about that price. Over the last few years it has had all new springs and shocks, new brakes, reco radiator and water pump and generally comprehensively serviced mostly by Fred Smith. I fitted four new Goodrich ATX tyres less than 5000 k's ago.

It is very original except that I fitted leather seats from a later model and no longer have the original cloth seats.

It has only two problems that I know of - The steering is a bit vague, and Fred Smith says the steering box needs replacing. Also, it intermittently runs rich. When I clean up the connectors it seems okay for a couple of months, then it starts playing up again.

It has Vic rego until July. I am now living in NSW and the hassle of re-registering it here is making me consider selling it instead.

Let's know if you are interested.

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Gday Paul
Your rangie sounds interesting and i'm certainly not disappointed that you have installed the leather seats!
Any chance that you could either post on the site or email me some photos?
    My email is graemesimms@westnet.com.au.
    Cheers
