Ive just typed in the data ive been gathering on my Tdi since October 2006.

Ive done 17108k and used 1732 litres giving a fuel ecnomy of 10.123l/100km

But shock horror! My rear (std) tank figure is 10.53l/km and my sill tank is 9.93l/100km. This is due to the perished filler pipe in the rear tank that I never noticed until recently (having a big problem getting a replacement part btw, usual suppliers have let the side down).

I've calculated Ive wasted 30 litres of fuel. At today's prices, that's a carton of Little Creatures Bright Ale!

If you thought of it as a carton (and a bit) of VB - then I reckon you're actually ahead!
