    reason... oh yes..

constant unrelenting frustration and lack of information, also constant redoing of work that i thought i had finished...

if i can find a job like you have... well i'd be happy too

people here are great and the work is interesting... i just cant take being frustrated continuously any more! (and yes go ahead with the innuendo's!)

    Thanks

    Funny . . . I'm about to quit, too!

Same thing: stooopid place to work. It's strange. I actually like working.

    When it's good.

Steve there should be plenty of work over your way . I quit my last job in 1991 but then again it was my last paid job been retired since then .Now there are never enough hours in the day doing all the things i couldnt do when i was working for a boss LOL Good luck It takes guts to walk out but if you are keen enough another door will open soon enough Cheers George

sorry guys... i have quit but do have something to go to (sorry if i misled you, i did say the new place is unknown! ).. there are plenty of jobs over here i was just very torn between leaving and staying.. a few reasons

    the people are great
good location (can get the train to work and pubs around)
    reasonable pay

but just too frustrating.. fed up of repeating work again and again and again..

but its the first job i had here in perth and i now feel im a bit out in the cold.. out of my comfortable place if that makes sense... still all is good in 2 months i'll be wondering what i was worrying about!

    thanks again for your comments

    Steve

I know how you feel, Steve.

6-1/2 years ago I took redundancy after 37 years with one organisation (I started with them the day I turned 17) and started with another 2 days later. It was a tough decision - my salary dropped to 1/3rd it's previous figure.

Best thing I ever did. Ok, not quite but my income is back up and I do less work with less stress and I'm closer to home.

Now I'm considering retiring and that is a tougher decision.
