If they are fitted properly they last a lot longer than 60,000kms.

If they are fitted incorrectly youd be lucky to get a few kms on the other hand.

Rick, after removing the lifting bracket at the back of the motor, the M+H Provent will squeeze into the space between the air cleaner, air hose to turbo and the engine. I'm thinking of 2 brackets; 1 where the original lifting bracket was and 1 secured to the air cleaner support bolt(s).

The M+H info says it can be attached to the engine, so I'm assuming heat wouldn't be a problem. It would block air flow through what is now a gap, but would that be a problem?

Any other Defender 300tdi solutions out there???

Great work!!! Slightly reduced airflow shouldn't be a problem - it is a water cooled engine after all!!!
