It takes a true artisan to build a mechanical watch, forge a Katana, build a house, a car, cause a controlled explosion/implosion, perform life saving surgery etc....

Even the basic design is still broken down into function and aesthetics. i suspect aesthetics is the answer to your question.

Inc, if you saw the doctored pics they showed on the news, you would not thing so lightly of the subject.

The pics are no way similar to those of some innocent starving child in a 3rd world country.

They are pics of a thirteen year old child posed in a way that if she had been 10 years older, would have been the centrefold of a men's mag.

This is blatant sexual exploitation of a child by, as post above and well put, by a dirty old man with a camera.

Art does not come into it, he is just trying to hide behind the term “art” so he can make some big bucks, peddling child pornography.

You have been known to take a few good photo's in the past and I know you are a very decent person. Given parental permission and in the name of art, would you feel comfortable taking and putting your name to sexy styled naked images of a 12yr old girl or would you feel a bit funny about it?

Perhaps all those of you (ie. just about all of you) who have a negative comment about Henson and his work, and yet make it somewhat clear that you have not seen the pictures... should just clam up?

Art is not for the shallow minded... and all of you have proven that the general community IS shallow minded.

Example: Naked = Pornography.

This is EXACTLY what all of you have reduced this down to.

I myself have only seen the blurred images shown in the media, but immediately I can tell that he attempted to invoke a reaction other than sexual.

His use of lighting, focal disposition, apperature, FoV.. have all been crafted to invoke thought on the subject...

But, you'd rather just have him burn at the stake first... consider everything else first hey.

Thanks Dobbo. More luck than skill if any good ones come out.

Re taking the photos.... not a chance, irrespective of whether it was sexy, arty or whatever it's not something that I would feel comfortable doing or do at all.
