I confess to being fairly ignorant of the arts community. I can only take so much of Cate Blanchett telling me whats best for me and Australia.
If it was illegal to photograph kids for public consumption, he'd be gone, open and shut case. But it obviously isn't. The DPP has got to prove that he produced these images with the intention of causing sexual gratification in his audience. Can't see them being able to prove that.
Stuff the old bill in this one. Its the job of the arts world to push the boundaries and its our job to push back twice as hard.
What I would like to know is where (and how) does an artist go about finding a 12 year old girl to photograph naked. Im assuming the parents are deep into the arts world for this nonsense to be able to happen.
My daughter is 12 and if somebody asked me if they could photograph her naked, I'd be in more trouble than Flash Gordon.
