The Shire is where they hides our prescioussss. We's seens 'em, we hates 'um.
Waterfall or Bundeena are the only 2 spots I think I could move to in the shire. After living in Janalli for several years and having relos down that way I got to know the area quite well and it has definitely changed.
It is far from a suburban utopia. It might of been thought of that way once but that was only because it was such an enclosed island compared to the rest of Sydney.
As the old saying and many cartoons portray that when you hit the most southern side of tom uglies bridge it's like falling off a big cliff into a different universe.

There used to be a couple of fun tracks behind the coalcliff mines down past the 'burgh but that got fenced off. I guess the closest you'd get is Appin.
I'm now in Peakhurst which is more or less straight across the river from Oyster bay. Congrats on your purchase.
Yep worked at that superb establishment and the RSL across the road. Probably the smallest and dingiest would be Cascades at Gymea and a club at Cronulla down the southern end of the main street. You'd remember a couple of big Samoan brothers Sam & Eddie they were my partners in crime so to speak.Ah much better world back then.
