Can anyone tell me what the proper name for the clear stick on sheet used to protect duco etc from stone chips is called? For some reason I have the name ArmourFend in my brain, but that could be complete tosh.
From where might I get some of this stuff? Is it a specialist crash repair shop item, or your general Repco store thing?
Thanks
David
That's the stuff. I did some Googling but can only find UK suppliers.
Is there an alternative name here?
I think it might be a 3M product. (?)
3M Australia : products brands & technologies
Can't find it myself
If you search the USA site, you end up with 3 answers & there all forien languages
(Can't read spanish)
The UK site doesn't even appear
So with all the 4WD,s here // Why doesn't 3M promote it here in OZ???
G'day Folks

When I'm here I want to be out there.
I have emailed 3M, so I'll let you know what the reply is in a few days (hopefully).
3M replied with an Adelaide vendor (Terret Automotive 08-8352-3182 down at Thebarton for anyone in SA).
They sell it by the metre as follows:
2" wide - $6.60/m
4" wide - $8.80/m
6" wide - $12.00/m
12" wide - $25.00/m
Not as expensive as I thought, so am going to get a few lengths. Bloke on the phone said it is proper automotive quality and guaranteed not to yellow.
HTH anyone looking for this stuff
David
BTW - 2" = 2 inches, etc
