Thread: Embarrassed by your spelling?

I used to struggle a bit with spelling, until I developed an interest in grammar and derivation. When I went to school spelling was learnt by memorizing lists of words. This is so boring that it turns many kids off. I have found most base words are short and easy to spell, variations of the base word are not hard to work out. It worked for me and hopefully some one else can get something from it.
