I reckon it'd be a good sport for eunuchs as they wouldn't have to worry about the trauma ....

There were no problems, as he just slid into a spoon drain.

It is rather steep, but it's also loose. Just after the shot of my 90 going up the dry hill, it stalled in low 2nd, I need a bigger motor! The white defender was bouncing around quite a bit, I'm not sure why though.

This trip was rated as hard, according to the club magazine vehicle requirements are Front and rear recovery points (rated). Basic recovery gear. Mud Terrain type tyres. hand or electric winch, drag chain and tyre chains an advantage. All vehicles except one had at least a rear diff lock and quite a few had front and rear.

How low would you go with tyre pressures in that mud with those muddies on & would it help much? Reason I ask is that I got stuck in Otways mud last weekend on BGF all terrains but after dropping down to 25 psi I got out no worries. That vid was great but I wouldn't put my D2 through that yet, I wasn't at the front of the line for the big balls.

But the Otways are in Victoria?

Tyre pressures are a relative thing. I dropped my Silverstones down to 15 PSI, which is where I generally start, but my car is lighter than a D2 and I run tubes. The shorty with the 38" boggers dropped them down to 6 PSI from memory, but he runs second air bead locks, and again, he is lighter than a D2. If you are running tubeless, you have to worry more about popping a tyre of the bead, and about getting muck in the bead causing it to leak. Tyre construction also plays a factor, as radials don't need to be let down as much as cross plys. So as you can see unfortunately there is no easy answer that is suitable for everyone.

It's not a case of big balls, it's just as you get used to four wheel driving, you start to push the envelope a bit, and eventually you are doing stuff like that.

same as insanity starts off by thinking that voice in your head telling you to buy another landy might be onto something?

The three you listed were the only ones to get up the by pass on short cut 1, no one could get up the hard part. The shorty with 38 boggers ran out of ground clearance! If you liked that video, you'll like this one.

Now that track (I call it the Luge or the pinball - for obvious reasons) is it still there? or has it been cleaned up? I've driven it a couple of times but that was when I was with the 'darkside of Yotassan'. I also heard rumors (early Feb )that it was destined for the dozer.

May just have to strap on the 'big balls' (once i get them out of SWMBO's purse) and go have a play.See what the 110 can do
