My Freelander has had the three amigos three times - on two of them they reset themselves of switching off the ignition and switching back on. The third was some dust in the air gap onn the front disks - some compressed air fixed that.

I had the three amigos coming on for some time. I had sensors replaced computers reset etc etc for at least two years on and off. It would always clear itself after stopping the engine, but come back on at random times when driving, you couldn't pick it. Then... It just went away... That's it ! gone ! It all works fine - HDC, TC, ABS, all good. Touch wood the intermitent fault is gone. 6 months now and nothing.

    Baffled, but glad it's gone

From what Ive read the 3 amigoes become permanent when the ECU picks the fault up 3 times on restart regaurdless if it was a temp fault or not. After this it needs wiping.
You will not get your vehicle regoed with ABS TC HDC lights glowing, even if the fault is gone.
We have a section in Tech Chat for electronic diagnosis. There is a thread on "members with diagnostic equip willing to help other members" See if anybody who has listed is nearby. You may only need a fault code wipe.

Can any one please tell me if it is possible to reset the 3 amigos without a diagnostic computer , or if I've fixed the fault will the lights restet automaticly.
I've read all the information which I found very informative. The lights came on after I replaced new brake rotors and pads.
