So they come in threes eh...?

I decided to have a few oil leaks investigated this morning, and it turns out I need a new power steering pump and a new vacuum pump (this one is rather urgent as it is full of engine oil and providing no vac assistance). I went 30km down the road to another LR repairer for a second quote, and on the way home dropped a wheel bearing. The coolant tank split and I tore out the 'donut'. It can sit in the garage for a month before I flat bed the barsteward.

I'm disappointed that'll I have to forgo a planned trip this weekend, but I'm wondering if I can get a [Victorian] Unregistered Vehicle permit, whether I'd be able to use the IIA on a few tracks or if its restricted use? It's either that or roll on VY commodore air locker

To my knowledge the permit is only for getting work done to the car or to get rego on it

same same the unliscended use permit is only to ge the vehicle to a repair place Prior to repairs/inspection for roadworthy.

Depending on state, once the repairs are complete you dont need one to take it to the inspection place. Least thats how it was for the NT and QLD last time I tried that stuff.
